Partnering with Aderra Media Technologies, the capsule will consist of new music 'Every Man and Woman Is A Star' and 'Siberia,' live recordings from the recent internationally sold-out 'Love Live' tour, as well as short film 'A Prelude to Ruins' (directed by Ian Astbury & Rick Rogers). The live Killola show is quite seductive itself: non-ending smashy rock-riffs peppered with skin and pop melody. Killola is no stranger to technology and is 100 percent web-pervasive. The tenth annual State of the Black Union Conference was held in Los Angeles.
Over 6,000 attendees witnessed the proceedings which included a recorded address by President Barack Obama, a welcome speech by L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and panel discussions which included black luminaries such as Cornel West and Michael Eric Dyson.
Aderra Inc. recorded Live video of the entire event, which was simulcast on C-Span, and made it available on to the attendees on USB flash drives before they left the Los Angeles Convention Center.

We just returned from the Billboard Magazine Digital Music Live! Conference at CES.
Aderra recorded each session and burned it to USB wristbands which were distributed to all attendees and speakers. The live music USB wristbands included a User Dashboard that played the recordings, displayed a photo gallery of each session and included links to Billboard's online content.
Highlights of the day were a surprisingly sharp Q&A with Soulja Boy, Akon's description of how he writes songs specifically to be ringtones, and Douglas Merrill's digital vision for EMI. The most interesting point reiterated throughout the conference on every panel and in every keynote was that the future of music includes multichannel methods for fan outreach including live music digital recording to USB drives.

About two weeks into this year's 14th annual Vans Warped Tour, approximately 100 artists, crew members and sponsors will use a day off to help rebuild hurricane-torn communities in southwest Louisiana.

Between Warped stops in Houston and Atlanta, volunteers from the 46-date trek will spend July 7 building wheelchair ramps and help revamp a library, daycare and senior center in smaller towns that were destroyed in 2005 after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita hit the Gulf Coast region.

"Everybody has been focusing their efforts on the larger communities, such as New Orleans," says Laura Murphy, foundation administrator for Unite the United, which is spearheading the project in conjunction with the Volunteer Center of Southwest Louisiana.

"There are all of these little communities out there that have received little or no help from the outside," she tells Billboard. "So we're going into the small communities."

The 2008 Warped Tour launched June 20 at the Los Angeles County Fairgrounds in Pomona, Calif., and so far "we don't have any specific bands signed on" for the July 7 volunteer date in Louisiana, Murphy notes. "But we have a lot of interest."

Mannequin, Against Me!, Pennywise, Reel Big Fish, Cobra Starship, Every Time I Die, Angels and Airwaves, Pennywise, Motion City Soundtrack, Matisyahu, Chiodos, Aggrolites, As I Lay Dying and the Academy Is..., among many others.

Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman started nonprofit Unite the United in response to the devastation the hurricanes caused. The foundation was originally intended to launch with a large-scale benefit concert and silent auction.

"Unfortunately, the benefit concert never happened and we ended up with all of these things to auction off," Murphy recalls. "So we started auctioning them off on eBay and raising money from our friends and colleagues in the music and action sports industry."

The Heineken Selector Concert series visited Madrid with EMI Artist Deluxe on April 12. The invited VIP guests who were members of the media, record labels, radio and television personalities, were given an exclusive Aderra USB wristband with video and audio tracks of Deluxe performing songs from their new album, Reconstruction. Lead singer Xoel Lopez is renowned for his introspective compositions which are transformed on stage during his scorching live sets. Groovelives provided on site support to ensure that each guest walked out the door with the exclusive content. Sean Collis of Groovelives described the reaction as the guests were given their Flash Drive wristbands; “They all went wild with the USB wristbands!”

Peace Tree Events is the community branch of the internationally renowned
urban super brand TwiceasNice, they have been promoting and marketing
events for over 13 years and are undoubtedly at the top of its game.

With this experience and seeing what was happening on the streets of not only London but the country as a whole they felt that in partnership with The Metropolitan Police they were in a position to have a positive effect on young people. They organized a competition "get yourself heard" the prize being that your track will be made into a video to be shown on TV. The response was amazing and out of this, the idea to establish the first Peace Tree Event was born and entitled "Walk Free... Respect Life".

Peace Tree Events held there first event "Walk Free... Respect Life" at the Damilola Taylor Centre East Surrey Grove, London, SE15 6DR, UK on Saturday the 29th March 2008.each person attending received an exclusive Aderra "Walk Free... Respect Life" USB wristband that included music and video from various celebrities and artists performing at the event.

The event incorporated celebrity showcases and Q&A sessions, DJ Workshops, Breaking and Popping master classes, Art workshops and Film workshop. On the day attendees got a once in a life time opportunity to ask various celebrities and local people of influence from all sorts of industries how they got their break and what advice they may have.

Will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas opened his own digital download store with all tracks available with Digital Rights Management(DRM) (DRM is anti-copying software designed to prevent piracy but actually just limits the types of device the file can be played on.)HERE is an article about it.
In a previously announced move, Wal-Mart began selling DRM downloads through it's online store today. This will include tracks for artists on both the EMI and Universal. HERE is the full article.
The Rolling Stones are included in the tracks available on Wal-Mart's service as well as on www.7digital.com. 7Digital is selling The Stones' albums from the early 70's through their latest a Bigger Bang. The tracks are in very high resolution MP3 format, 320kbps (roughly double the quality of a standard iTunes track.

The National Forest Foundation in the U.S. has a carbon offset program that is geared toward improving our National Forests. On their website They have a "Carbon Calculator" that helps you determine what your household's carbon footprint is. A typical American is responsible for an average of 10.73 metric tons of carbon output per year. If you fly as often as I do that can quickly double or triple. After running the calculator you can place a donation for $6 per metric ton. This money is used to plant and maintain new trees in on U.S. land. Many other carbon offset programs are sued to plant new growth in other countries. While this is still helpful (carbon dioxide has no borders) it is an added benefit to improve our own park System while lower the impact of our domestic CO2 output.

Aderra Live in a Flash at Red Rocks with Big Head Todd and the Monsters

June 2, 2007 - The cold hail and rain that fell on the crowd at Red Rocks on Saturday night were beaten back by a blistering set by Big Head Todd and The Monsters. Playing at their annual charity show for Children's Hospital's Autism program, the band barnstormed through two hours of monster grooves including this smokin version of James Brown's classic Sex Machine. 8,000 of the band's hometown fans filled this unique venue to full capacity.

Aderra was there capturing every note. Fans were able to reserve a copy of the show by buying a wristband at the souvenir stands before the concert began. The wristbands could then be traded in for a "direct download" MP3 on a USB flash drive of the show on their way out of the ampitheater. In addition, fans who didn't reserve a copy before the set started were able to take this inspiring performance home by picking up a copy of the BHTM jumpdrive on the way to the parking lot.
